Welo Investigation Part II: Micro Dots & Plant Like Impressions
There’s been a lot if questions about the dark dots on Welo opals from Wollo Provence.
Some have went back to the petrified or preserved plant matter again. Others, no clue.
Here we go, the dots are most definitely dendrites. No mistaking that after examination.
They are dendrites formed by metal oxides, likely manganese oxides.
No plant transfers. No preserved plant matter. No fossils. Just dendrites from metal oxides, likely manganese.

Nothing super duper, but here they are.
