43 x 32 mm. 44.2 cts. Yet another variscite type from the Lucin, Utah area. The variscite from this area was formerly called "Utahlite" and "Lucinite," though these terms are no longer properly used. Another misnomer for variscite from this area (and a few others) is "variquoise" - the thought having been that it might be a mix of turquoise and variscite, particularly for stones which exhibit non-typical shades (such as blue or near-white). The town of Lucin is now a ghost town with few remains.
