I'm not a metalsmith by a longshot. Cut and set these for a Christmas present. Black spinel in sterling (who can afford gold?), 6mm in a "rosette" cut.Makes a nice even checkerboard type cut.

sweet!  ( i KNOW i spent like $150 on a little bit of gold for that opal necklace - the necklace is a lot smaller than i originally planned, so now i have some left over, yay!  yay?  *sigh*)
